Dashwood Forest Partnership was the 23rd forest established by Roger Dickie. In 2021 Dashwood had an estimated net stocked area of 236 hectares and adjoins Ormsby Forest.

Planting at Dashwood Forest commenced in 1993 with the balance completed in winter of 1994. The forest is forecast to be harvested in 2022.

Dashwood Forest is situated at Ardkeen 25km west of Wairoa. Dashwood Forest has a long road frontage to State Highway 28.
