Winchester Forest Partnership was the 32nd forest established by Roger Dickie. In 2018 Winchester had an estimated net stocked area of 133.9 hectares.
The Winchester Forest Partnership was created in May 1994. Planting of 55.5 hectares took place later that year and a further 79.2 hectares was planted in the winter of 1996. Harvesting is forecast to commence in 2020.
Winchester Forest is situated at Te Reinga in Northern Hawkes Bay. The Winchester Forest Partnership is part of the 2,282 hectares of Ruakituri Station located 75 km South West of Gisborne on Ruakituri Valley Road of No.36 State Highway. Winchester is one of the nine forest partnerships on Ruakituri Station. Ruakituri station bounds the Wairoa and Ruakituri rivers. Partners are welcome to visit the property at any time.
